Conducting Advanced Business Management Skills Training For Existing Businesses In Ajloun And Jerash

Country:
Jordan

Al Jidara collaborated with MEDA and the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN) on three JVL projects targeting new and existing women and youth entrepreneurs. Al Jidara assisted more than 200 existing businesses in Ajloun and Dibeen (mainly tourism focused) to build their capacities in business management, product development, marketing, customer service and health and safety. Al Jidara conducted thirty-five (35) tailored training workshops covering business management, financial management (planning, book-keeping, cost analysis and pricing), product development, customer service, marketing, social media, proposal writing and pitching. All workshops were conducted by subject matter experts on each topic. Following a round of pitching sessions to the beneficiaries who were short-listed based on their proposals, four businesses who met the grant criteria (CBT focused, feasible, easy to implement within the program timeframe and contribution from the entrepreneur) were provided with grants in addition to three mentoring sessions provided by AJ coaching experts to help expand and better serve their customers, which in most cases were primarily tourists.
