The USAID Fiscal Reform and Public Financial Management (FRPFM) (2016 – 2020)

The USAID project aimed at advancing Jordan's economic reform agenda with a focus on sound fiscal and public financial management practices. The project encompasses four key components: revenue performance improvement, budget efficiency and transparency, fiscal sustainability through structural reforms, and an exit strategy. Al Jidara, as a subcontractor to Deloitte Consulting, played a pivotal role, particularly in strengthening public policy development, communication, and capacity building.
Al Jidara's contributions span a wide range of activities, including supporting public-private dialogue, developing policy dialogue through project grants, and enhancing communication for ministries. They have undertaken comprehensive mapping and assessments to facilitate policy development and public-private dialogue, and have worked closely with the Ministry of Finance (MoF) on communication strategies related to tax law and fiscal decentralization. Furthermore, they have played a crucial role in enhancing the GoJ's capacity for fiscal and public financial management, facilitating the development of the public financial management platform, and strengthening the reporting capabilities of government units. Their efforts have been instrumental in advancing the project's objectives, aligning with their expertise in capacity building, public policy development, communication, and public financial management.
