Conducting Basic and Advanced Training for Community Based Tourism Projects Benefiters in Ajloun and Dibeen
Al Jidara assisted MEDA Jordan, in collaboration with the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN), in supporting community-based tourism business models within and around Ajloun Forest Reserve and Dibeen Forest. The objective was to design and conduct awareness workshops about the importance of entrepreneurship with a focus on the tourism sector. In addition, the objective was to design and conduct training workshops for the potential beneficiaries on how to convert their ideas into viable businesses and provide mentoring to the launched business for a period of 3 months.
Al Jidara designed and developed entrepreneurship awareness and training materials and organized pitching sessions. Additionally, Al Jidara conducted awareness sessions about entrepreneurship in both Ajloun and Jerash targeting 1,400 beneficiaries, as well as mentorship sessions, ideation workshops aiming at helping the beneficiaries come up with business ideas focusing on tourism targeting 1000 beneficiaries and interested beneficiaries to help them convert their ideas into viable businesses. Al Jidara also supported RSCN in filtering the beneficiaries' ideas and identifying the potential ones. Upon completion of the project, Al Jidara delivered a report which included but not limited to Entrepreneurship Awareness material; Ideation training material; Business planning material; End of the training report; Mentorship reports; Final project report
