Development of Employment and Career Guidance Units in Selected Institutions under TVET Sector

Al Jidara was commissioned implemented program, “Employment Oriented Vocational Training in Skilled Crafts” to enhance the institutional and individual capacities of GIZ’s implementation partners under the TVET sector by offering career guidance and counseling (CGC) services to their beneficiaries. The partners studied the National Employment and Training (NET), Vocational Training Corporation (VTC), Ministry of Education (MoE)–Industrial Schools, Theodor Schneller School (TSS), Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI), and Ministry of Labour (MoL).

Al Jidara completed a full assessment report on the institutional capacity of the CGC units at the 5 partnering institutions. Additionally, a fully tailored and developed operational manual and capacity building plan for each of the CGC unit staff at the 5 partnering institutions based on the outcome of the TNA reports. Al Jidara delivered a full training a full training needs assessment report on the training needs of each of the CGC unit staff at the five partnering institutions. Al Jidara carried out a full organizational structure and administrative system for the VTC, including main tasks of the organizational units, job description cards, and a methodology for replacement and succession as well as a full set of branding material for the SIS to include a video, flyer, career path diagram and job cards for each of the six vocations to be taught at the school.
