Green Action in Enterprises

GAIN has commissioned the “Green Industry of Jordan – Sector Analysis” which was conducted by Al Jidara. The scope of the project includes secondary research as well as primary research through conducting key informant interviews (KIIs) with entities that have a role in regulating, organizing, or supporting the industrial sector and KIIs with several industrial companies in order to understand their current practices and opportunities for more environmentally friendly alternatives to improve performance. The findings were compiled into an industrial section analysis report which provides an analysis of the industrial sector in Jordan with a focus on the following priority sectors: 1) the textile sector, 2) the food processing sector, 3) the chemical sector, 4) the pharmaceutical sector, and 5) the mining sector. It also presents an overview of the country’s industrial zones and their institutional setup and management.
