MEDA – Business Development and Marketing Support in Ajloun
Al Jidara directly supported and bolstered both businesses to improve production and service standards, increase production and incomes for both business owner(s) as well as support the design and implementation of market-based interventions. The effort was largely based on domestic and international market trends and simultaneously identifying appropriate enabling environments while maintaining a market driven approach that fed into advancing the Nature-Based Community Based Tourism (CBT) program that was established and developed by MEDA and the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature.
To achieve the assignment’s objective, Al Jidara conducted desk research followed by a number of field visits and in-depth assessment for projected businesses status, future aspirations, market opportunities, strengths and weaknesses. Solid recommendations for market driven interventions were developed to enable the business to achieve economic growth by increasing incomes and a share of the domestic market. Al Jidara provided support in implementing the recommendations to reach the ultimate goal of growth in production and profit through linking them with markets, promoting their products, and ensuring sales agreements.
