Update the Ministry of Environment Strategy and Action Plan 2020 – 2022

Al Jidara assisted the GIZ in updating the MoEnv strategic plan for 2020-2022 by performing various analyses, establishing multiple management-related plans, and implementing capacity-building programs for MoEnv employees; all of these activities were aligned with the MoEnv strategy. Additionally, Al Jidara assisted and supervised the Policy Directorates in the strategy's implementation system follow-up. Based on the analysis, Al Jidara developed a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Plan for this assignment, which included a Key Performance Indicator Framework that MoEnv could use during the mentoring phase to determine whether they were implementing the strategy in accordance with the set objectives. The M&E tools were modified and used for all stages of the assignment; at the outset, a training needs assessment tool was designed to assess the level of knowledge and abilities. In addition to training program evaluation, previous strategy assessment, and lastly KPI for mentorship phase. The KPI framework brought clarity to the MoEnv teams as to which metrics they should give attention to during the implementation of the strategy plan 2020-2022, it unfolds the strategic objectives with indicator measures, means of verification and resources.
