Technical Assistance to stimulate SME lending

Built the capacity of Association of Banks in Jordan (AJB) to function as a resource center for addressing lending to SMEs. This project included providing assistance to a medium-sized bank with the splitting off of its SME lending operation, conducting a workshop on problem loan management, identifying the challenges and reasons for the underutilization of existing loan guarantee programs and recommending solutions to inefficiencies in the lending process for a number of banks starting from application, to analysis, pricing, decision-making disbursement, and finally collection.
